  1. Can we get the same thing going for SMS? So that I don't have to get asked everytime which SMS app to use, GV or System.

Also, is it possible to have a contact in the "Main Number" group that when I call their international number it'll use GV instead of the main number?

  2. Is it possible to select GV contacts just by their name. I have the Samsung Galaxy Vibrant and the stock contact app does not allow you to select different contact groups via the phone. I have to go into my contacts on gmail.com to change contact groups. I love the app but the Vibrant does not open up the full features of your app due to it's shortcomings. Thank you for your consideration.

  3. Currently, I have my phone dialing from GV as default and I would like to select the system group:My Contacts to dial from my main. However, I have a few contacts in there that I would like to dial using GV, so I put them in a GV group and set that in VoicePlus. Unfortunately, if the contact exists in both specified groups, VoicePlus will dial the main. Is there a way to switch the priority so that if the contact is in both groups, the GV group takes precedence?

  4. You should place a button that makes it obvious that if you go to the menu and configure a certain group to user google voice then it will work.

I figured out to press menu and then go to settings but it could confuse other users. I don't use the area code feature and was almost really disappointed because I thought the program only worked for area codes until I did that.

  5. As Mike N. said, enabling this feature for SMS would be perfect! Please consider adding this feature.

  6. Currently I use your app a long with another app called prefixer by 253below. Unfortunately they don't work well with each other.
I would love it if you could not only specify an area code but also a prefix. For example, any phone numbers that have this for the first 6 digits 303873. This works great when you work for a business that owns all the prefixes starting with 303873 and want it to use GV. One last thing, could you also add a call confirm?
    Thank you

  7. I use google groups on my work phone to separate personal numbers from work numbers. I have 2 groups setup. 1. Personal (which doesn't appear in conacts) and Contacts (all work related). Here is the dilemma. Some of my personal numbers I call with Google voice and some I call with my work number. If I setup 2 (personal) groups, 1. Personal 2. GV Personal your app chooses the main number even though I have GV Personal selected as the dial by groups. I am guessing it looks at google's contacts and sees they are in 2 different groups and selects main by default and it doesn't know what to do. Any way to correct this would be great. LOVE THE APP!!! Good work.

  8. Great app! Great idea! Could u add one new rule to call based on phone type (ie - mobile only)? I use the call by group and this would be a nice sub-feature. Thanks

  9. Great concept, but I need to make rules for international calls, not by domestic area code, but country code.
Also, it would be really useful if you can add a function to select (turn on and off) GV forward numbers without going to their web interface. I have my work phone as one of the FW, and it has a voicemail, which always picks up before GV picks up when I forget to turn off the FW.

  10. Thanks for much for this app! I also request having this for SMS as well. Anyway, thanks again for making this!

  11. I have it setup where i can make calls to certain groups using my google voice account, but it would be nice if i was dialing using the dialpad and I could select to use google voice instead of default. sorta a blend between the two ways.

  12. I have several conference call numbers assigned to contacts, all of which have a comma (pause) in them. GV does not support dialing anything after the actual "phone number". It does not create tones for you.
It would be PHENOMENAL if your app could (optionally) bypass GV when it sees that there is a comma (pause) in the number string.
    Thanks!

  13. Oh, another idea (this would be WELL WORTH a few dollars to many people, so it could be part of a "Voice Plus Plus"):
From the settings menu, have an option which prompts for the user's AT&T account password, and then uses the batch mobile-to-mobile number verifier to add numbers to the bypass list. A simpler approach, if you could find it, would be to track down a (user-maintained?) list of phone number blocks used by AT&T.
If I use GV to call someone else on AT&T, I use minutes. If I bypass GV, it's free mobile-to-mobile.
    Get it?
    Thanks again. Great app.

  14. Not sure if you could, but it would be nice to assign a ringtone to calls that come in over the google voice number. I know the work around, but I would like to see the contacts name when they call.

  15. For example, on my Gingerbread N1 phone I have an option to enable all call via SIP (Internet calls). This feature works only with WiFi networks. But if even I will enable it, anyway your app will catch all calls and route them by configured rules.

So, could you please add the feature to enable/disable all rules by WiFi condition.
I think it should be an additional option in the menu, like "on WiFi : ON/OFF".

    Thank you very much!

  16. Doesn't seem to work with "Dial by Groups" on Gingerbread (Atrix, Gingerbread 2.3.4). Is there a chance this app will be updated? I can see the last update was almost a year ago.

  17. I retract the above. I added another dummy "match all" rule and all of a sudden it worked. Then I discovered that GoContacts partially messes up the system contacts in such way that contact groups could no longer be managed properly from the system contact list. They need to be managed from the GoContacts :( So the prefixer works with groups but only those groups that are managed from GoContacts.

  18. Instead of gvoice only, why do not you let the user choose skype, tango, etc?
So I can choose which numbers will use the voip (or more than 1)
Ex: My home - normal dial
    my work - gvoice
    my girlfriend - skype
